You have a very great view of the lake. Room is very spacious. It's our first time as well to stay at a traditional Japanese room, wear yukata and it was a great experience. Excellent dinner and breakfast. They can pick you up at the train station which is very convenient.

This 2-star ryokan offers a shared lounge. The ryokan features family rooms. The property is a historic building in an interesting residential area located near the Hikone Castle and old town district. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming host. It felt very special to stay here in our cozy Japanese style room.

The buffet breakfast was a wonderful way to finish our stay.

Rooms have a traditional decor with shoji paper screens and floor cushions. The building looked very authentic and the staff was really helpful. I enjoyed the room and it was quiet. Maybe I should have taken the breakfast option.

The Japanese-style rooms have tatami (woven-straw) flooring with modern furnishings and futon bedding. Each room features a private bathroom with a bathtub made of Cypress wood, filled with hot water from the local hot spring. Beautiful ryokan with a rotenburo that overlooks Lake Biwa. Dinner course had some very special dishes unlike other ryokans and plating was beautifully done. Would highly recommend this place.

Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a lift and free shuttle service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The ryokan features family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. I liked the quiet location, the view of Lake Biwa, the friendly staff, and the access to both public and private onsen facilities.
