The family owned hotel and restaurant are top shelve. The rooms are extremely clean and fresh water is supplied daily. The restaurant food is exceptional. French pressed Coffee was served to our rooms every morning. The restaurant offers a wide variety of entrées. One choice i enjoyed was the lamb shank. Also duck, as well as several fresh fish entrées. I highly recommend the hotel also for its central location. The entire family is very welcoming and warm. We will be back!! Oh yeah almost forgot the margaritas are fresh and yummy!!

We loved the breakfast! Especially the french toast and the service. It was fun to chat every day with Carlos and the other wait staff. The breakfast menu was varied and we tried several entres, liking all of them.

The hotel is great! You have to have a car or take a taxi to get there because it is a little ways out of Ajijic, but if you are looking to just relax at a hotel with a pool this is a wonderful place. The pool area is beautiful, the staff is very helpful, and the breakfast buffet on the weekend was great. I have stayed here once on a weekend and once during the week, and during the week the bar and restaurant close really early and the breakfast is not as complete since it's not buffet, but it was still nice. But if I went back I would definitely go on the weekend to be able to have the poolside bar and restaurant until the evening and the buffet breakfast.

Nice, large studio apartment style room with kitchen, living/dining area and private bath. Kitchen included a refrigerator, cooktop, toaster oven, microwave as well as dinnerware and cookware. The room had two balconies overlooking the pool and beautiful grounds. D’Shanti Restaurant is located on the hotel grounds. Excellent food, drinks, and service!
