January has perfect weather, very pleasant people visiting, working and living in the area. Lots of stuff to do or not do, if relaxing is your mission. Affordable Taxi or Uber rides can get you to Puerto Vallarta or Bucerias within 30 minutes. Spanish speakers will have no trouble getting around and even those who have a limited understanding will have little trouble as most residents speak english.

Nuevo is nicer than Puerto Vallarta, quiet and peaceful versus the hustle and bustle of touristy Malecon in Vallarta, lots of traffic, noise associated with it etc. Nuevo is pricier , big money, and affluence in Nuevo area where I stayed. Well groomed walk ways (don't have to worry much about stepping in a hole like Vallarta)- median has walkway for joggers, dog walks, regular walk. Its upscale for sure.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

At first I thought it was a little isolated but we realized restaurants etc. were a short ride away. My husband enjoyed walking in the area and it was easy to walk on the beach or path to Bucerías. I would definitely stay there again!

Long walks on the beach and weather is great. Lots of restaurants in the area and mexican and seafood was great Booked for next year already! Learn the bus system or get an uber or taxi if going a further distance Check out the water taxi if need to gt to paradice village from across the channel Will not take bus during busy hours Download uber app All the restaurants around Boulevard Nuevo Nayarit great Eddies place , Oasis, and 2 for 1 rib nites great,steakhouse

Nuevo Vallarta is mainly huge hotel complexes with their own private beaches with a small ish shopping plaza with a supermarket. The area around mainly caters for middle-high end budgets. Although there us a nice fish restaurant (beach shack type) with mainly mexican food 15 mins walk from the beach on Paseo de la palmas If you are looking for Mexico, you are not going to find it here...typical American resort if that's tour thing. If not old Puerto Vallarta is by far the better place for 'a bit' of authenticity if you look carefully.susanUnited Kingdom

It’s located in a very calm and natural environment: you will even see some crocodiles on the other side of the river and a cute little turtle in the garden. The room is spacious and it’s very quite but still close to some nice restaurants. But what stood out for us the most was the kind staff. They even helped us to ship my forgotten shoes to our next location in Mexico. Very friendly of them! We can only recommend staying here!DaanNetherlands

Facilities are cool and immaculate. The room was fantastic. We had a one bedroom suite I think. And it was HUGE. Full kitchen. Two full baths. Tremendous deck. Sort of generic decode but very nice.
