White House Group Of Houseboats อยู่ห่างจากวัด Shankaracharya Mandir 5.6 กม. I couldn't reccomend this houseboat enough, it exceeded our expectations. The location of the house boat is ideal. A short boat ride of a few minutes away from the main street and included in the price. Most houseboats charge for crossings. It is located at the end of the first row of house boats, giving you a wonderful uninterrupted view of the whole lake from your bedroom. The house boat is surrounded by beautiful waterlilies and looks stunning. Everything was very clean and we felt very safe. Abrahim is a wonderful host, who made our experience in Srinagar memorable. He helped us plan our days and even organised a driver for us for our next leg of our journey to Leh! We really felt at home from the minute we arrived and Abrahim was available whenever we needed him. Breakfast was included, and really set us up for the day. We ate on the houseboat varanda, cooked with Kashmiri love accompanied by Kashmiri tea - another highlight. Thank you for making us feel like family, Abrahim!

Food is exceptional (Sajadh the chef ), Shikara ride every day is wonderful experience ( Firoz the rider also wonderful singer). Owner ( Sheik ji) of boat house who is very caring and has very good connections to make the whole kashmir trip go very smooth. Central heated is one very good option and makes the stay most comfortable even in winter.

Musa, the houseboat owner, is very helpful and provide very good service. Dinner at Tashkand was our best dining in Kashmir as it's fresh meat, homemade, and no MSG. If you stay here I recommend trying 1 dining at his place. The place is clean and tidy. There's towels and amenities provided. There s no heater in the bedroom but it's replaced with warmed electric blanket which works very well to keep you warm at night, especially in winter. There are free shikara ride across to main road if you paid for shikara ride trip the first or second day. It's a special deal that the houseboat made with shikara riders so you will get the best deal and save money if you get shikara trip. It was the memorable, affordable house boat price. The houseboat is located in a quiet park of the lake overlooking the lotus ponds. It's spectacularly beautiful and hidden from the Lakeshore which is a madhouse. Boat rides to and from the houseboat are free. Host Tariq is well versed in dealing with foreign guests and is very helpful with arranging stuff. I understand he does excursions beyond srinagar and treks as well but unf there was no time for that. Location wise, I observed that up to about ghat 10 the houseboats are super near the Lakeshore. So, depending on whether you want convenience or privacy you can plan accordingly.
