We had a delicious home cooked traditional Keralan breakfast and an amazing dinner, some of the best food we have had in India. The beach is great and the water warm. You will probably be the only foreigner there. Which we appreciated. It is a fisherman village and early morning, we can see them in action. We loved lounging by the pool, cycling around the local village and canoing down to the beach for sunset. The food was amazing - we particularly enjoyed freshly made breakfast milkshakes and the Marari fish curry. Would highly recommend for a backwater / beach experience close to Kochi.
