It was possible to walk to Ivy Square from Kurashiki Station, however we took a taxi when we first arrived, which only cost ¥1000. The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area as it is very close to the main streets of the traditional Bikan area of Kurashiki with its many interesting shops selling all manner of items from locally produced tea to denim, also produced locally. We didn't opt for breakfast to be included in our booking but it was very easy to find cafes close by where we could get a coffee and something to eat.

Si vede che ci tengono molto perché ogni piano ha un piccolo museo e una storia da raccontare. Il profumo appena si entra nell'albergo è proprio accogliente. Staff super gentilissimo. Colazione: ottima varietà tra dolce e salato, la maggior parte in stile giapponese. C'è anche la possibilità di noleggiare gratuitamente le bici. Una cura e attenzioni per i dettagli che non ho mai visto altrove, nemmeno in altri alberghi giapponesi. La lavanderia super: non solo ti danno a disposizione l'ammorbidente, il cesto per i panni, le grucce, ma la camera è pensata per tendere il filo nella doccia e appendere i panni. Hai pure a disposizione un deumidificatore oltre che l'asciugatrice.

Staff is great. They helped with sightseeing in Okayama, and even let me ship an urgent package from Amazon if I stayed another night. The amenities you get here are exceptional for the price you pay. Free popsicles and drinks, snacks for 10 yen, frozen omelette with rice or pasta for 100 yen. Free bicycle to ride around town which was very convenient to see the castle and museums. Free pastries for breakfast. The room is clean and good. Overall I had a great stay. This isn't an ordinary Japanese business hotel.

Highlight must be the buffet dinner which has amazing variety with quality. Can make your own hotpot with 4 different types of broth (Sukiyaki, Yuzu etc). Best breakfast buffet. My daughter had her first Ping pong experience and she enjoyed it.

Quiet spacious hotel room that had beds and a tatami mats seating areas, as well as chairs. Fridge in room and had access to cooking facilities as well as ice machine. Close to railway station and the hop on hop off bus stops. Friendly staff.

Staff were all friendly and very helpful . The location is great not too far from station and also tram station for Korakuen garden and Okayama. Plenty of lovely restaurant and bar kitchens around . Will definitely consider to use this friendly hotel again .
