Justo encima de la estación, perfecto para ver okayama. Además sufrimos un tifón que hizo anular y retrasar todos los shinkansen. Debido a esto y tuvimos que aplazar el viaje y reducir una noche, enviamos un mensaje al hotel y nos lo cancelaron sin coste alguno todo y que estaba fuera del periodo. Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en el hotel Maira cuando visitamos Okayama. La ubicación es excelente y el personal encantador. Es perfecto para visitar la ciudad ya que está rodeado de restaurantes, tiendas, centros comerciales y muy cerca del castillo y los jardines de la ciudad. Sin duda, volveremos.

It was possible to walk to Ivy Square from Kurashiki Station, however we took a taxi when we first arrived, which only cost ¥1000. The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is situated in a very convenient area as it is very close to the main streets of the traditional Bikan area of Kurashiki with its many interesting shops selling all manner of items from locally produced tea to denim, also produced locally. We didn't opt for breakfast to be included in our booking but it was very easy to find cafes close by where we could get a coffee and something to eat.

Highlight must be the buffet dinner which has amazing variety with quality. Can make your own hotpot with 4 different types of broth (Sukiyaki, Yuzu etc). Best breakfast buffet. My daughter had her first Ping pong experience and she enjoyed it.

Staff were all friendly and very helpful . The location is great not too far from station and also tram station for Korakuen garden and Okayama. Plenty of lovely restaurant and bar kitchens around . Will definitely consider to use this friendly hotel again .
