We met many pleasant local people at hotel, restaurants and on our walk around Centro. Even invited by a couple to stay in their guest house in the future. Old Tepic is a bit run down but still interesting. We enjoyed walking and discovering plazas parks people and birds. Does not feel like a tourist town.

The city itself appears to be of little interest.
The city itself appears to be of little interest.
It is, however, the doorstep to the coast and mangrove parks and lagunas, at San Blas. These would be the sites one has to visit, with Tepic as a base for a couple of days.
There is an interesting ethnographic museum near the center of the old town.
Situated only a couple of blocks from the Plaza, Cathedral and top restaurant in the city, makes it a great place to stay. Love all the public gathering areas on different floors with lots of plants to give you that feeling of warmth while traveling. The room itself is spacious with a refrigerator along with a powerful hot rainfall shower. Like the wood furniture, pictures and decor that matches to the culture of Tepic. The somewhat free breakfast is filling and good.
I needed to me in San Blas so instead of staying there I decided to stay in Tepic since it was very close and the hotel was on the same highway. The rate was very inexpensive with breakfast included. The towels in the room were large enough to get around my waist, and the maids were constantly cleaning and mopping. For my overnight stay I give the hotel A+. Just to clarify, this is not a resort hotel, no swimming pool or bar, but it was perfect for me.
The location is just perfect for walking around the center of Tepic. Two blocks from the central park, the maker, banks, shops and restaurants for any kind of preference. The staff is kind and helpful. The rooms were quiet in spite of the fact that the windows looked at the internal passage. Probably we were lucky that there were no people passing by in the late time. There are rooms at the end of the corridor so they are even quieter.
Rooms are huge! And they did everything to put you out of noise from the street and the road. I was sucked by this hotel and staid 4 days instead an overnight. The rooms are so clean, staff with smiles and very professional. English-speaking reception. Good noise cancelation in the rooms. Garden is very nice inside and outside.
Thank you.
The hotel si nice and comfortable. Best location.
However the carpet in the room is disgusting. The breakfast is poor and the restaurant was dirty. Four tables remained unclean during my 20 of breakfast. They worry about the face mask at every moment but leave the restaurant dirty? I suggest a shift in priorities.
I booked a previous hotel for two nights. I stayed at that hotel one night, and it was a nightmare. I moved the next day to Hotel La Loma, and did not want to leave. I was amazed.
It is a beautiful property. Plenty of lovely plants, nice grass, outside pool, and plenty of parking on the property.
The personal were very kind and made us feel welcomed. I urgently needed an iron and they lend it to me. My mom wanted to walk to buy a fresh juice but it was raining, she didn't ask for an umbrella but the clerk was very nice and gave hers.
We would definitely return on our next visit to Tepic.
Exceptionally clean. Host met us at the door and was very helpful. Hotel older and upgraded to pleasantly adequate. Had coffee tea, microwave and refrigerator available to us. Older part of central Tepic. Interesting, if a bit worn area. Restaurants within walking as well as large park
Restaurant was fantastic - the food and pastries were great, the ambiance with open windows was lovely, and the staff was great. Hotel staff was excellent as well - very helpful and accommodating. The rooftop view was beautiful at night.
This is a stunningly beautiful older hotel. The restaurant/bar was wonderful. The staff were helpful and friendly, as well as patient with my limited Spanish. The parking is secure.
Right int the centre of Tepic but amazingly quiet in our room and free underground car parking. Breakfast was great too -the female chef makes the best hotcakes! 🥞
